This....is what i have so far. It shows major zoos and aquariums in the United States. This is based on what first popped up in my Google search bar. Not sure if I like it at all. This assignment is not catching my imagination and its pissing me off. Help Help Help! What do you think?

ReplyDeleteI enjoy it, Katie. You have used a formula to create an abstract image...I am drawn to the piece visually, and then finding out the process behind the piece becomes an added treat. What is the significance behind the colors that you selected?
ReplyDeleteI really like this. It is interesting because even without reading your description first, I immediately felt like this was some type of mapping of locations within the United States. Even without any clearly defined solid line we typically associate with geographical maps. I like it at is, just because it leaves so many questions for the viewer and I feel like it is really attention grabbing.

ReplyDeleteI really like the bright colors and how you have overlapped some circles to represent more than one zoo. I think that the way this image suggests the outline of the united states makes its interesting because it gives some context and draws people in. I cant decide if it would make a difference to have the same colored circles connected by some lines. I think if you did it would be better if you dropped the opacity so that they wouldn't draw away from the overall shape of the image.
